Welcome to our home, we’re so glad you’ve stopped by! If you are anything like me, our home is always changing and evolving. My husband says I drive him crazy (on the regular) because I am always changing things up when I find the right inspiration.
I feel like every home changes and molds to whoever lives within its walls. Whether that be a pet, a baby, or whoever comes and stays a while.
Our favorite room is our front porch. Whether it be sipping on a cup of coffee watching the sunrise or a glass of wine while the sun sets
So even as I write this blog post and snapped these pictures, there are things in our home that have changed since this post was published. Furniture has been moved or painted, I’ve rearranged things, donated something to bring something “new to us” in.
Our home was built in 1933, so we have plaster walls and beautiful plaster moldings throughout.
We also have beautiful arched doorways that invite you into each space.
Our home is a place to gather, spend time with our families and friends, and most importantly with each other. We have hosted countless birthdays, celebrations, barbeques, and movie nights.
And of course, one of the most drastic changes to our home has been adding Edith to our family. Babies come with a lot of stuff. As kids grow up, they accumulate MORE stuff! So I am constantly trying to come up with ways to make our home more functional with a child.
Through the seasons of life, our home changes. One of my favorite holidays is Christmas, because our home fills with the scent of fresh fir. All our childhood ornaments dangle from the tree and this year, Christmas was even more special because we got to share it with our daughter Edith. Christmas through a childs’ eyes is bliss.
What’s important to remember is that it is just a house. And everything the squeeze into it is just stuff. But it is our special place with our special things. Above all else, I am so thankful for my family.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a blog with a tour of your home, please comment with a link! I love seeing the love that fills other homes and am always searching for more inspiration!
