Hey everyone! This is an exciting post, I finished my first knit sweater! Ahhh! So excited!
This was the perfect pattern for my first knit sweater. Not only was the pattern super simple to follow, you can also find this yarn at any craft store and it knits up super quick because it’s bulky weight.
This Winston Sweater pattern can be found here on Ravelry. The pattern is written by the wonderful Jane Richmond, click hereto see what other patterns she’s written and projects she’s knit up. I love how simply she wrote everything out.
The pattern is written in a way where get your own measurements, reference her sizing chart, then write in your own numbers into the pattern. I love how this is written because it keeps the pattern simplified and you only see what you need for your size of garment.
For this project, I used Lykke 32’’ circular need size 17 for the main body of my sweater. For my sleeves I used Knitter’s Pride size 17 dpn’s that worked perfectly. For my ribbing I used my size 11 KnitPicks interchangeable needs for my ribbing and my Knitter’s Pride size 11 dpn’s for the ribbing on the sleeves.
I used Lion Brand Thick & Quick in the colorway Fisherman and Black. I just happened to have these two color ways in my stash but I love the two-toned look!
