Let me just say, this little squish right here is the reason you knit baby blankets. Surprisingly enough, when Edie was born, I hadn’t knit her any blankets myself. I had knit a couple in years prior but they were given as gifts. Now, I did start a couple blankets when I found out I was pregnant, but I developed pregnancy carpal tunnel so my needles got to take a break for a bit.
When knitting baby knits, some of the best yarn you can use is either cotton, or better yet, a cotton/bamboo blend. You want something machine washable because let’s be real, babies be messy.
Cotton/bamboo blend yarns are the best in my opinion, but can also get pricey. With the mix of the bamboo, it makes your knits antibacterial. Bamboo material inhibits the growth of bacteria.
This blanket was knit in Knit Picks 100% Cotton Worsted Weight yarn (Dishie) in the color blush.

The cotton/bamboo yarn blend I’ve used, Bamboo Pop, I found at my local yarn shop. You can also find it on Amazon linked below. I will tell you, this yarn is ridiculous soft and squishy.
