The Story Behind the Name
You might be wondering — who’s Edith?
Edith was my grandmother. She didn’t just live in a house — she created a home. Her kitchen was always warm, her living room always inviting, and her DIY skills were legendary (long before DIY was even a buzzword). She taught me that a home isn’t about perfection — it’s about care, effort, and a whole lot of heart.
This blog is named in her honor. Home With Edith is a tribute to that spirit — building, fixing, improving, and creating with intention.
Who I Am
I’ve spent the last 15+ years learning everything I could about home improvement. From laying floors and fixing plumbing issues to painting walls, building furniture, and renovating entire rooms — I’ve done it all. Not professionally, but personally. Through weekends, mistakes, trial-and-error, and a whole lot of elbow grease.
