Down the street from our home, a new little yarn shop has opened their doors to share beautiful and squishy yarn with yarn lovers all over Kansas City.
This cute little yarn shop is Yarn Social. And like its name, it’s a wonderful place to gather and shop. In addition to being a yarn store, there is a living room where there are social hours for knitters to get together, talk about all things squishy and share what they are working on. I was able to go to a happy hour a few weeks ago and share a bottle of wine with a girlfriend, knit, and be merry with others that share a common love.
While I was shopping, one of the lovely gals that works at Yarn Social played with Edie so I had time to squish some lovely yarn. My father-in-law gave me a gift card to this lovely yarn shop for Christmas, and I am going to put that towards knitting my first sweater. I’m going to tackle the Comfort Fade Cardi by Andrea Mowry, tell me what you think about the colors!
Check back for a blog post on my progress knitting the Comfort Fade Cardi, that will be a blog post of its own.
Go check out Yarn Social! I grabbed a pair of Lykke needles there the other day to just try them out on a project I’m working on, and I LOVE them! They sell sets and individual pairs of Lykke, perfect just to try them out!
And maybe you don’t knit or crochet but are interested, check out their website for upcoming classes!
